Worship and Music › Knaresborough United Reformed Church Worship and Music

Principle weekly morning worship: Sundays at 10.00am.
First Sunday of each month: Holy Communion.

Our style of worship is a healthy mix of traditional hymns and modern worship songs as our congregation includes people of a wide range of ages and aspirations. Kids.com share the first part of worship and then leave to meet in their own groups.

Our older young people plan and assist the Minister in leading the service (known as `Partners’) around six occasions throughout the year.

We have a joint service with our sister church in Bilton each year where we come together to worship and share lunch. This operates on an alternate basis between the Bilton and Knaresborough churches.

We have occasional joint services with the other URC churches in our Mission and Care grouping. We also join with the other churches in Knaresborough in Churches Together convened events.

When appropriate the Worship Band regularly leads the congregation in the singing of contemporary worship songs and is always keen to bring to the congregation new songs to learn.

Other forms of media are also very occasionally used to assist in the worship experience, such as CD’s and DVD’s.
