Landlubbers will be our eighth children’s Holiday Club and each year we see the number of children rise and receive wonderfully positive feedback. The leaders and the children have a fantastic week and relationships are made between children and also with their parents.
A group of ex-pirates under the command of Captains Heave-ho and Yo-ho find themselves marooned on a desert island. Uncertain what is in store for them next, they meet up with Castaway who gives them some handy clues to help them find the precious treasure they are seeking. After days of following the treasure map they discover a treasure they had never imagined……no gold coins or sparkling jewels……but the greatest treasure of all, knowing Jesus. As Castaway encourages them to explore the story of Paul, the team learn through crafts and drama, games and discussion, what it is to truly be a follower of Jesus.
As a church, we are excited about the challenges of Holiday Club, we are supported in prayer by our church family. The cost of running this event has been met by the church and therefore there is no charge for any child attending.
The programme runs from 10.00 am – 12.00 noon for children who have completed school years Foundation - Year 6(Doors open 9.45am)
